This is a site for people who want to join or support The Bozeat Windmill Singers, a mixed four part choir for experienced and novice singers; currently of approximately forty-five members, that meets Tuesday evenings during school term time at the Independent Wesleyan Church "The Little Chapel" in the village. We sing a broad range of musical genre, ranging from modern and popular, show songs and medleys, through to light classical etc.
The choir, founded in 1982, is a small and friendly mixed choir and currently has a membership of 45. We meet during school terms (Northamptonshire), in the Independent Wesleyan Church "The Little Chapel", Dychurch Lane, Bozeat. NN29 7JP on Tuesday evenings, 7-30 to 9-30. Last night (Tuesday), we again held a "Zoom" audio and visual meeting via the internet. It was in the form of a virtual tea break, simulating the tea break at choir rehearsals. We had 13 members join the group this week. We started the session with a catch up, with everyone relating what they had been doing since last Tuesday and any interesting asides. We then had one round of a General Knowledge Quiz followed by a Pandemic Quiz from Jenny. Paul was unable to operate his "Share Screen" feature on zoom, as the permissions seem to have been changed. Jenny will look into things during the week with normal service hopefully returning next week.
Jenny will be emailing members the songs produced by Paul and Sue on the piano, so those that wish to, can sing and record their parts to send to Paul to mix. She would also like to encourage more members to join in another Zoom session next week.
At our last choir rehearsal meeting, held on 10 March, we again rehearsed items for our concert in July (now postponed), entitled Our Favourite Things. We sang Trade Winds,The Rhythm Of Life, Steal Away, Thank You For The Music, Pie Jesu, A Clare Benediction and The Sound of Music medley.
The new web page is up and running, as you can see. Hope you like the look of it.
Stay safe, John
